Clear Channel partners with Ford Pro on its journey to Carbon Net Zero

We've already reduced our carbon footprint by 89 percent since 2008 by implementing sustainable practices across our operations, including introducing hybrid vehicles to our fleet. And while the progress we’ve made with hybrid vehicles is great, to become Carbon Net Zero by 2030 across Scopes 1 and 2, we need to go fully electric. 

We operate in urban environments, so we prioritise having the cleanest vehicles to improve the quality of life for residents in the communities we serve. But the reality is, that the current, fully electric models don't always meet operational needs due to their range. 

We needed vehicles that could operate without “range anxiety”, but still be clean running when driving in urban environments, especially as ultra-low emission zones (ULEZs) are becoming more common. So, to meet our existing challenges and move toward our ultimate goal of Carbon Net Zero, we chose the Ford Transit Custom Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs).  

We’re now running 72 Transit Custom PHEVS across our fleet and will continue our work with Ford Pro to include fully electric vehicles in our next vehicle replacement cycle.
