Clear Channel and Campaign welcome entries for the 19th annual Outdoor Media Awards

The stage is set, and entries are officially open, as Clear Channel UK invites industry innovators to showcase their outstanding campaigns at the Outdoor Media Awards (OMAs) 2025.

Held in partnership with Campaign, the OMAs celebrate 19 years of creativity, innovation, and excellence in Out of Home (OOH) advertising. This year’s event promises to set new standards with exciting updates and fresh approaches.

What’s new for 2025

This year’s awards bring several new developments, including:

·       A new award category: the Programmatic Out of Home Award

·       An exceptional panel of judges featuring a new lineup of industry trailblazers

·       A dynamic new host

·       A spectacular new venue to provide the perfect backdrop for celebrating

RECMA certification: A new benchmark of excellence

This year’s OMAs are certified by the Research Company Evaluating the Media Agency Industry (RECMA), adding another layer of recognition for winning agencies. The RECMA is the global leader in evaluating media agency performance. Their certification assesses agencies across 19 key criteria, including their performance in awards.

RECMA certification enhances the credibility of the OMAs, positioning them alongside some of the world's most respected accolades such as the Cannes Lions and Media Week Awards. Participation in the OMAs now directly contributes to agencies’ RECMA scores, offering an impactful way for media agencies to solidify their industry standing and showcase their exceptional work.

Moreover, this recognition enhances the OMAs’ prestige, demonstrating Clear Channel’s commitment to driving excellence in OOH advertising.

2025 highlights

The OMAs feature 13 prestigious awards across four categories: Creative, Planning & Execution, Effectiveness, and A Platform for Good. Furthermore, one gold winner across the four categories will take home The Grand Prix, an incredible prize of £150k worth of media space across Clear Channel’s digital screens.

Building on last year’s success, the intuitive user-friendly entry portal continues to ensure an effortless submission experience as entries remain free and open until 28 February 2025.

Maisie McCabe, Campaign's UK Editor, will play a pivotal role as Chair of Judges, leading the evaluation process with an excellent judging panel featuring seasoned industry representatives from the media and advertising sphere.

Introducing the Programmatic Out of Home Award

This brand-new award celebrates the transformative power of programmatic OOH. Its addition reflects the evolving landscape of OOH and the innovative thinking it inspires. Judges will seek campaigns that:

·       Demonstrate the strategic advantages of programmatic planning and execution

·       Showcase measurable, incremental results driven by programmatic approaches

Campaigns that leverage programmatic as part of broader OOH strategies or as standalone initiatives are welcome to enter.
