The initiative – #BusinessAsUnusual – has been set up so
that the neighbourhood business owners, who’ve worked hard to adapt and
continue trading, can drum up some new trade. They’ll have the opportunity to
broadcast new opening hours, deliveries, takeaways and the many other
imaginative ways that they’re operating to keep offering products and services.
Clear Channel’s 2,300+ screen strong Adshel Live network will host the local advertisements, playing them on screens within a mile radius of the local business.
As many local businesses won’t have the facility to create their own advertisements for the screens, Clear Channel is offering design support to bring the free campaigns to life if required. Business owners will simply be able to share an image and the words to be used, and the team will do the rest.
One of the first businesses to join the initiative is The Griffin pub in Brentford. The pub has adapted to keep its kitchen open and offer a takeaway meal services three days a week, including a Sunday roast.

The support of Clear Channel is very welcome and we’re so glad that we can get the word out even further that we’re open for takeaway.”
