An IOU for OOH: this year’s Outdoor Media Awards to be announced online.

After much deliberation, we have decided to cancel the Outdoor Media Awards event that was due to be held on the 11th June this year. It wasn’t easy, but it is absolutely the right decision to make given the circumstances we are all facing amidst the Covid-19 crisis.

Though we won’t be hosting an event, we have decided to stick to the current awards timetable and will be still be announcing our shortlist in mid-May and the winners on June 11th, via our website and social channels.

We have been blown away by the number and quality of entries received this year. It has been a record year for the awards – a clear sign that 2019 was perhaps one of the best for Out of Home. 

It’s more important now than ever while we’re dealing with such adversity and uncertainty to remember how great our industry is. Reading the entries makes us feel incredibly proud of the amazing work we’ve all done - we can’t wait to hear what our judges think.

At some point, when it feels right to, we will get everyone together to properly celebrate both our OMA winners and our industry.What we’re saying is that for now, it’s an ‘IOU A PARTY’ from us.
